THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF MEDIA

Radio, Television, Magazines, Newspaper Are School Of Inattention : People Look Without Seeing, Listen Without Hearing.

đź’ Mobile Electronics Document with Interacting Agents {MEDIA} concludes of all things like newspapers, news channels, social media, etc. The era is ruled by the Internet and there is hardly any field left out from the reach of media so can be said that it connects all the dots of the world therefore generates co-relation among humans. Being the forth pillar of Democracy, it plays a vital role especially in a vast country like INDIA. The independent, professional and responsible media is termed as the backbone of any Democracy so, it is its responsibilities to inform, criticise, and stimulate debate.

Democracy is by the people, for the people, and of the people  so, to maintain the transperancy between people and government, Media has a big role and responsibilities. For instance, in Parliamentary Session, Media provide transperancy on every debate and discussion. Media is providing us the way to access the news as fast as we can and these are also it's greatest responsibility.

Media needs to bring up truth and real news in order to acknowledge the people. On the same hand, they also need to check whether citizens are exercising their rights in a correct manner as it helps in nourishing the rights. Being a two-edge sword, it's important responsibility is to check both citizens as well as governments as almost everyone is connected to atleast one source of social media. Apart from these role, the much needed responsibility is that it should present or express the news in a socially acceptable form. Especially in a secular country like INDIA where a number of religion, caste and traditions exist. The most important thing i.e. PUBLIC OPINION, which can influence government also, should be taken up by the media in order to generalize and explain the concerned subject, which in result would give fruitful openion.

Media sometimes, twists the fact and shows an unrelevent news which works as an opium for the people. The cases of paid news have also been seen where the local news channels are being paid not to show their relevant news. Now a days, Cases have been seen where Media is responsible in vanishing social harmony and misleading the people. The trp scam is its good example. News channels are showing their own personal opinion as a news which is altering people. In this context, Dr. Subash Chandra has said that those openion should be presented in the form of personal stand as it can make a great impact otherwise. According to the former governor of Reserve Bank Of India, Raghuram Ji Rajan, the fake news can mislead the youth who are jobless.

    ❇️ WHOEVER CONTROLS THE MEDIA,

         CONTROLS THE MIND❇️

These all points must be taken into consideration by the media. No doubt, it is very important for the democratic countries. The political, social and legal responsibility should be taken into system seriously by Media. As Dileep Padgaonkar has  mentioned that "My Job Is The Second Most Important Job In The Country After P.M" . Some of the negligence of media is also present which should be taken into consideration. Nation development depends upon the media only and can be efficient only when true and relevant news are being presented before people. So, its role make great impact and thus withstand with great responsibility avoiding the wood termite like social disharmony.
